Pac-Pan
is a multifunctional furniture. Designed for the use of students and the faculty staff in Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts campus.
During the design process, the preliminary goal was to address the needs of users. So the main question of the project was “How can we create a multifunctional studying experience on campus?” The standing panel removes complex tablespace options by integrating a minimalist approach.
The basic structure of the design was created through a mesh material which can be supported with removable wooden trays. Pac-Pan is also a portable furniture that can easily be moved around by dragging. Moreover, its middle portion allows students to have a convenient storage space. Pac-Pan can be enhanced with 3D printed hangers that complements its mesh design. This enhancement can turn Pac-Pan into a smart presentation board for students to create their own social area!
